Meet Squash Falconer

A keen mountaineer, skier, snowboarder, paraglider and motorbike rider, Squash Falconer will be flying out from the UK* to add international flair to the FEAT line-up this year.

Squash enjoys combining her love of different sports into her adventures. She did this very successfully a few years ago when she climbed Mont Blanc and paraglided from the summit – having travelled to the mountain from the UK on her motorbike.

Not only has she climbed Everest, Aconcagua, Kili, Mt Ranier, Mustagata and a host of other high-altitude mountains, Squash holds claim to be the world’s highest-ever bum boarder, a title she gained on Cho Oyu, the 6th highest mountain in the world.

Last year Squash completed a 4,800-kilometre journey around western Europe on an ElliptiGO. In doing so she set a new distance world record for travel by elliptical bicycle.

Squash is passionate about sharing her adventures. She has a quirky outlook on life and believes that the journey taken to making an adventure happen may lead to something quite different than initially envisaged.

“BUT,” she says, “there’s really nothing quite like that feeling of energy, spirit and life that runs through every part in your body when you take action.

At FEAT, Squash talks to us about going “Higher, further, funnier”.

Follow Squash through her website and on Twitter and Facebook.

My thanks to FEAT sponsor Powertraveller for making it possible for Squash to join us.
