FEAT Film Festival

Do you have a story hibernating somewhere inside your mind and heart? Have you taken an adventurous trip or had an idea and thought, “This would make a great film?”.

According the web (trusted source ‘n all), research has shown that 81% of all Americans say they have a book inside of them; and it’s probably true for most South Africans too. Few will start that book, fewer will ever complete that book and a fraction of these will get published. Forget paper and ink; think film!

Don’t just think; don’t just dream. Make some notes, sketch an outline and borrow a friend’s video recorder to tell your story.

In planning your film look at cultures, experiences, people, environments and pursuits that challenge and inspire. Consider the non-conventional.

We’re not looking for masterpieces. We’re looking for stories that are solid; those that tell of your passion for the outdoors, your sports, personal experiences and your adventurous spirit.

There’s no need to recreate ‘Dances with Wolves’ (please don’t!); short film submissions range from two to 12 minutes.

Get cracking – we look forward to receiving your entry.

We want to get word out soonest so that you can get your films underway. As such the final format of the festival (screenings and such) will be announced at a later stage – still much to be finalised!

Please visit the FEAT Film Festival page on this site for entry information and application form.
